Rim Quality Question

I'm thinking on getting 18" Racing Hart CP-35. There were some posts discussing various rims, how easy to bend, etc. Also, need suggestions on how to properly buy used rims/tires, what things to look for.

racing harts are good quality rims. You wont have to worry about bending or breaking them unless you run over a curb at 50 mph. There is not much to buying used rims, look at them, if you like them, then buy them.

you get what you pay for, buy cheap rims, you get crap. Buy racing harts you get nice rims that will last a long time.

i've heard alot of good things about OZ and all.. but on my set.. there are alot of blemishes.. someone must of fell asleep when they made my rims.. because they painted over some metal chips.. they prolly didn't clean it off real well prior to painting..

Re: Re: Re: Rim Quality Question

Lowenharts are a soft metal. They DO bend easily! I an on my second set. Nothing wrong with them now cause I only had them a lil over a month and I don't drive the CLS that much, so this helps too. If you live in area that is infested w/ bumps and potholes roll w/ something else. I think the Axis NEOs are phat to def. I have buddy that has them in a 19" on an S2000 and they are sooooo tight. Checkem out for yourself http://superbuytires.com/wheels_by_b...Axis&model=NEO

yes they are lighter, and also cost about $100 more a rim.

If you want rims that will probably last you 10-20 years, buy MOMOs. They are sure "HEAVY"-duty.

C2 EVOs, it'll kinda tell ya how the CP-35 might sorta look like on your Max..hope it helps ya decide...
one thing to be weary of, i don't know if it's good or bad, you will get alot of stares at the WHEELS themselves rather than your car! it's kinda weird as you cruise down the street and people are checking out your wheels.

I am looking for a set of used rims...Buying used means you dont get advice compared if you're buying through the store.
