I was at my Nissan dealer tonight, and I passed by the service station and they had a 00-01 SE up on the lift. One thing caught my eye....it had body colored tail lights. It was Icelandic Pearl, and it looked sweet. By body colored tail lights, the black trim around the SE tail lights was painted body color, leaving the brake/parking lights, turn signals and back up lights exposed. It looked real sweet (plus it had exhaust and tint ) I wonder if it was anyone on this board

 

my friend was telling me about that car today in school... but he saw it in brooklyn... also a 5th gen... white one with white tail lights... he said it looked dope

 

Could have been the same car, cuz this one didn't have plates on it when it was up on the lift.

take your car to a body shop or paint shop and ask them.. should be less then 100 depending on what it takes to make the paint stick and to cover up the parts you dont want painted..

I am going to get this done pretty soon! The Nissan dealer gave me the card for the body shop that is going to do my bumper TSB...maybe I can have him do the lights at the same time! Mine will be round...no oval poop back there!

 

My Max is black so the tails are body colored but i want to make the top red half clear. Any ideas?

That could be the best mod i have seen yet, at least for appearance. I hate the black around my rear tail lights, it doesnt look good on a silver car at all. i was thinking about doing what you did to your lights but was afraid it couldnt be done. good to know that i can be... how much did you pay to get that done? im takin my car in next week for that!
