I <3 craigslist..

I just wanted to share the almighty power of craigslist with you guys.. for those of you who don't know, it's basically a giant text-only classifieds website that covers all the major US cities..

Anywho, I check there regularly now for Maxima parts and rims and such.. and I just bought a set of four mint 18" 2001 Maxima alloys for only $120!

(The center cap looks like a totally different color than the rims but that's just because the flash illuminates the alloy finish better)

If you don't currently use it, check out craigslist.org .. you might just find the part you're looking for cheap as hell.. or if you're looking to sell..

Craigslist is awesome. A lot of stuff you can sell and buy on it. You got a killer deal on the wheels.

Never heard of it. Who is craig?

j/k

Even the stiffs on the local news reference Craigslist about every other night for some reason.

Nice find on the wheels. I wish I could pick up something like that. I have bought and sold all kinds of things on CL. I have a front differential for a Chevy on sale there right now and I bought a poker table and a pile of poker accessories (chips, cards, etc) from someone through that site.

OK everyone, craigslist is the best place to find the most random **** ever, but it's not all bad. You can go on looking for a POS 4WD truck for the winter, and find that POS truck, along with headers for an 88 camaro, 1970 datsun rear caliper, and a speedometer from a 72 VW scriocco. Same thing with every other category, but the best thing is, you go looking for one thing, see another cool thing, and think, "I could really use that!"

Are you scared that he now has your name, #, and addy? I've heard of scams and I wonder how deep they get.

nah not really, i reported his *** to all the agencies i should have

He claimed he was from Dubai and all this crap, it was pretty funny if you talked to him over the phone he had a middle eastern accent, but i got him all pissed off b/c i knew it was a scam and i brought it up and he started speaking perfectly fluent English.

But seriously, if the person's name is "Terry Smith", claims to be overseas, does not ask for milage, vin # or any important facts, sends a check for a vehicle that i said was already sold. Oh yeah and you didnt have to be a pro to tell the check was a fake either. Its a sad sad sad attempt at a scam.

i was upset they shut down the website that searches several CL location @ once. I live on the boarder of OC and LA, it's a PITA to switch back and forth between the locations to do searches.

I know, I was just referencing the fact that everyone is aware of CL, even the "establishement." It's not like some underground thing only a few geeks on the net know about.

The story that really got me was the one about the people that kept stealing all of the trailers, repainting them and then selling them on CL.
