O/D doesn't go off! What's up?
What's up ya'll!
I been having this issue with my 97 maxima GXE, the O/D doesn't go off, when it tries to it blinks on and off. Is this a red flag that something is going on with the tranny? When it is on is works fine but when it is OFF it doesn't. PLEASE HELP!!

My gf's old Pontiac Grand Am did the same thing. I think he means that they "overdrive off" light doesn't come up but for a second when he tries to turn it off. Do you have the Haynes repair manual for the maxima? You can find it in your local auto store.
