IIRC, there was a team at the Rolex race this year that had them for a sponsor. Not totally sure, but I thought it was them.

I know they look good, nice find!

seems kind of pointless to me, frankly. Clearly made for people who have stupid money and like to waste it on stupid things to impress other people....

i'm pretty sure these don't cost as much as rotora, endless, project mu... etc.... but a lot of people have a lot of money to spend out there.

what I said above applies to those as well....

There is no reason that anyone needs 12-piston (or even 8-piston) calipers....even if it's a track car.

I like how those 12 pot calipers sweep over 90 degrees of rotor arc...

I'll be perfectly happy with 4 pistons, but I won't complain about 6. Looks like they'll be $$.

Guess they should fit under 18s, but they're out for me, I <3 17s and also having a non-bulimic wallet.

The BMW M5 has two-piston calipers. No one ever complains about that thing's brakes.

Calipers with hideous numbers of pistons are almost always a gimmick.

the dual caliper setup is most likely so you can retain one caliper for a parking brake and the other during normal braking. I thought about doing that for my setup since I plan to run 2-pot rears on my car, but I'd just as soon find a way to use a drum-style ebrake to save some weight.

yep, alot of classic car guys do that on rear drum conversions...seperate mechanical ebrake caliper and hydraulic main rear brake calipers.

BTW, Wilwood is now making rear calipers with standard wire e-brake function. I asked fastbrakes if they'd make a Maxima kit, but they said they hadn't really thought about it.

maybe if enough people were to "suggest" it to fastbrakes via email, they'd think about doing it

Frankly I think they're pretty much just like our stock rear calipers but with a plate on the front that says 'Wilwood.' nice for looks, but not likely a performance upgrade to much of an extent.

You're right, they're just single piston calipers, I can't remember off the top of my head how big the pistons are, but at best you'd be losing some unsprung weight and that's about it. Maybe useful for someone doing a conversion like mentioned, but otherwise useless for us.

I KNOW! They must be crappy quality huh if they're only 2 grand. Because if they were Alcons, Prodrives, or Project Mu's they'd be well over $4000!

none of which will stop your car any better than a good set of brembos or wilwoods....even on the track.

They'll be in on monday according to FedEx.

That's ok, I'll be busy bringing the other car up here this weekend and won't feel like messing with the Maxima anyhow.
