5th gen muffler finally went

Actually the muffler is still in great shape. The pipe connecting the b-pipe flange to the muffler snapped coming home from an event last week. One minute it was kinda thoaty, then it sounded really awsome. Woops, mean too loud. Tried using some high-temp dryer duct aluminum tape but that wouldn't stay. Found a $3 metal hoseclamp at Home Depot that seems to be working for now (too cheap to reweld yet.) This was the freak-of-nature muffler that netted me an additional 9hp 5 years ago.

Before & after muffler dyno pulls (here come the flames again)

How did you het a daul tip to fit? There is only room in the bumper for 1 tip?

I also wasn't sure which dyno graph showed with the 5th gen muffler vs the old one.

I had this idea a while ago, but didn't know till now that it has been done.

Do you have any pictures?

Here's some pics. This isn't anything new. Lots of these conversions to take advantage of the variable exhaust path. IIRC you could get with or w/o that oval metal shield around the dual tips.

Install is easy. Just weld a bend pipe between the flange and inlet pipe of the muffler itself. Usually they go for around $50-$75 IIRC.
