Best Spring Set up
Hey guys i am about to give my car a drop and i am clueless on the springs to get. I am definently going with the illuminas for the shocks but what would be a good set of springs that wont go past 2 inch drop? Plus where is the best place to buy them off, thanks for the help guys.

Im on sprint springs. they are rated at 2.0 inches. i got almost 2.6 in the front and just a little over 2 in the rear. auto's tend to be slightly lower in the front because of a little extra weight. but not a significant difference. I would say that the sprints will give you the largest drop. and the stance if beautiful. But they are fairly stiff. the ride can be harsh if your roads suck
Yeah i was actually looking at the illumina and spring set up at ebay. It's not a bad price for $570 shipped, how much would you say is the drop with those springs? And I was also looking at the H-techs because I heard many good things about them, but since they are engineered to work with OEM Struts and Shocks is it worth getting illuminas with H-techs and how much is the actual drop? Thanks again for all the help guys.
the tokico drop is about an 1.5" I believe.
I got the blues, not the illuminas. And if your car is a daily driver then there's no need to get the illuminas.
the drop was perfect for me. I donnu if you're looking for the same thing, but here's a pic of my setup.

Yeah im trying to get the biggest drop possible next to 2 inches, i just don't want to hit or pass the 2 inch drop because of all the problems. Are there any major differences between the illuminas and blues other then the adjustability?
I've read a lot of threads and info the past years on here and i know that aftermarket springs on stock springs is usually a no no but i want to drop my car a little and not pay too much. Lot of people sell cheap springs so I figured I find some real input on this since the question is already asked in this thread really. Someone was selling h&r springs and i thought maybe. What do we think the life would be on my stock struts running the h&r's? They don't drop that much and I don't think they have too much travel. How long before they blew my stocks? Would Eibach be a better spring to run on the stock springs? Thanks guys.

I've been riding around with Eibachs in the front and CMS/Springtechs in the back (all with Koni Yellows) for a few months now and surprisingly I find that combo really comfortable. I remember with the Eibachs in the back the ride can get really jarring.
I wouldn't use any sort of lowering springs on stock struts. You'll end up paying twice for labour costs, I'm talking from experience I had with my set up. I'm on Tein H-tech, 1.6 in the front and 1.2 in the rear. Not a drastic drop at all. So I figured might aswell use the stock struts. A month later my stock struts blew, luckily my mechanic didn't charge me too much the second time around. If you want to lower it, do it right the first time.
I wouldn't pay for them to install the setup. I do the work on my car myself. I'll have to figure it out.
