Hi, I just had a check engine light pop up ('97 Maxima) and soon realized that it is the sensor boost that went bad. It's basically this little black box looking thing that is next to the manifold cover for the engine. The sensor basically monitors pressure coming from the manifold. I confirmed it's gone bad because I swapped it out with another maxima and the code went away. Has anyone else ever have this go out on them? I only ask because I've searched for prices for them and they all seem to be really expensive. I've already posted in the classified section, but just wanted to know if anyone else has had this gone bad (wanted to see if this was a common problem). Below is a picture.
