How did the installers make a mistake?

Not much to screw up to blow the rear struts... BTW, he purchased my rear D2 coilovers to replace yours.

Once again... How did they "blow them up"?

And if anything, it hurts you, shows that yours were a problem and he had to replace them.

really weird, because I had them on my car and had no proble. as soon as they installed them, he wrote back to me that there is a problem and they will install them agian. so if they go installed wrong for the first time, they will not work on the second try, right?
three months later he wants money back ???!!!

The problem was blown struts... I can't think of one way to blow a strut installing them.

You might not have known they were blown, but I don't think it was an install problem.

I cant think of anyway to blow them installing either. Three months is a long time, have you two been in contact? As to paypal, they really only cover reciept of the item. What this thread needs is alot more explaining, a clear timeline, and the whole story.

I didn't open a claim after 3 months... he told me he would give me $70 towards getting them rebuilt.. i said that's too little and i would get the money back by myself. I opened the case a LONG time ago with bank of america, and i only just got my money back, (bank of america says 6-8 weeks to get your money back) and I just got it back... I have not opened a claim again with paypal. I tried my best to believe what you sent me was good but i needed a working product.

Oh yeah i'm definitely a scammer... talk to Mdeezy or Jess if you don't believe me, i showed both of them the rears and they most certainly had no rebound in them regardless of how you set them... The shop and I both agreed before installing them that there was an issue but we would give it a go anyway see if they could be installed properly... we stuck them on the car, saw we could get no rebound and disassembled them again and awaited a resolution.

I didn't dispute the whole amount. I'm sure a scammer would dispute the whole purchase price , dont ya think?

cheers,
-Alex

why would a scammer have the product he received checked out by multiple people and have it proven to be a bad product and ask for his money back. When the seller would not accept a return of the item for his money back, he filed to get the money back to replace the product with a working one.

The seller not the buyer in this situation was obviously the scammer

I received a damaged and unusable product. I was denied a refund. I filed to get it back. I got it back. Problem is solved.
Maybe you thought you sent a working product. All i know is the product I received was not working as described. I'm not mad at you... I got my money back as the bank agreed with the information i provided and full documentation that I was given a bad product. I am happy with the resolution of the situation. If you feel it necessary to take your frustration out on me that's fine. The scammer doesn't always win

cheers,
-Alex

Perhaps instead of just calling him a scammer over and over, you could talk with the other members. Things happen and need to be dealt with, but i think you have made your point and you can stop insulting him now. Simply posting things like that will get neither of you anywhere.

I was actually the one that wanted to buy those coilovers from you first. LoL just my luck that my friend gets them. I took a look at them the DAY they were installed which was within the week of him receiving them. All I can say is both rears were obviously blown. All you had to do was lightly push on the rear and it would bounce.

I'm surprised he didn't ask you for at least half the amount back. $70 is hardly even enough to get them fixed.

But hey at least we have honest sellers like upstatemax who sold me a complete set of working D2s, which LeX bought rears from me.

So in all this thread should be settled.

LeX has his money + working rears
You don't have to pay him anything since he received his money through BoA.

Dude, let it go... You did not lose any money. Lex did not scam you; if he was scamming you he would not have a need to replace the rears as he did. He only wanted the money to fix the rears, you snubbed him... You left him one choice, and that was to go around you and get his money back.

The one person that can be accused of a scam in this thread is you, but I HOPE it was just ignorance on your part. In reality, you can't blow the struts installing them; the blown rear struts had nothing to do with Lex.

I have told Kramarz99 I will happily send him back the rears and all parts associated with them by whatever shipping method he chooses if he pays for the shipping cost. They are sitting in my basement i dont have any use for them as I bought Upstatemax's rears which work fine and got me on the road

From the sound of this thread the OP is the one that sent out bad equipment and then is crying because he got caught by the buyer....Sounds like the situation is completely settled and this thread should be locked and/or deleted....

You posted a thread in a public forum, therefore, it is fair game for discussion and opinions that are within forum rules.

I'm with LeX and all I have to say is...

What goes around comes around kramarz

You tried to pull this on me when you said I never sent you my stock intake system, when I had delivery confirmation that the product was delivered. What you really wanted was your money because you realized that you didn't need it and trying to file a paypal dispute saying that it wasn't received. I was reading all the posts about how you thought your aftermarket intake was causing damage to your engine and thats why you needed the stock intake. This should be useful to LeX to demonstrate this guys knowledge of anything automotive and to all future potential buyers of this seller.

I let it go then, when you tried to pulled all that crap, cause I really just didn't care. But this really proves that you sir are despicable and I wish I could retract my positive feedback.

Well that reply was extremely productive. Seems the only thing your thread accomplished is warning others about dealing with you.

lex is a good seller. bought a subwoofer from him. works great.

3 points i would like to make:
-from the information given, you shouldn't have even started this thread.

-opinions don't matter.

-the facts are all here, you're a bad seller. thats NOT an opinion.
