I called a couple of Auto parts stores and junkyards. They could stop by and take a look at it. But... how much should I ask for? Looks like the engine should be still good.

 

I would try to part it out. You are probably going to get more from that then selling it to a junkyard.

 

I agree with Zach. If it is something you can do, you would make alot more money.
So what happened with the law suit?

Junkyards will most likely rip you off big time.

Just make sure you have a LOT of time if you do decide to part out.

 

Dont waste your time parting it out, it will take a LONG time and I doubt you will make much more than just selling it. The most desirable parts on that car (the front end) are trashed and its got tan interior. You might be able to get some cash for the motor and or transmission, but shipping either of those is a pain in the ***. If it were my car I wouldnt part it out and I even have the space time and resources to do so.

 

Junkyard gave me $100 bucks for my totalled i30... it was hit on front end from the side.

 

If you do decide to part it out pm me with a price for the seats. From what ive seen junkyards tend to only offer between 100 and 500 bucks and you can easily make that by parting out!

 

That guy missed both his court dates, and there's a warrant issued on him. (9/27/07)

The Garnishment process was served on him about a week ago. Hopefully I could get some money in every month. (9/24/07)

Man, filing all these claim, default, and garnishment cost me another $400.

Now it's tricky, he is an illegal. So if they got him, they will throw him in jail and then kick him back to where he's from. If they didn't get him, I got my monthly payment if he continues working there.

I rent a self-storage for this totaled max, plus I don't have enough room and tools to really part it out. Pity! I might still have to let it go.

The only good thing happend so far is I got myself another 98 GLE, though still trying to pay it off.

 

Will let you know if I decided to part it out.....

Post an ad on craigslist.... 97 Nissan Maxima Parts car $1000 obo. Someone should be willing to take it off your hands for a better price than a junkyard.

Part it out... are your rear calipers okay!? Alternator? AC Pump? Do ya have an UDP?? Shure someone will take your tail lights... and maybe your doors - and then the wrecker will still probably give the same price... or just sell for scrap steel

well why don't you see how much interest you get for the parts, and how much for the car as is. if you get more interest for the parts, then part it out....
