FS: 97-99 Red/Clear tails

I ordered this set of tails and one of them had a small crack on the left side lense so I super glued it back together. Since I show my car I did not want to use these, but you cannot see the crack unless you are right up on the car and it does not affect the functionality of the light/lense. These have never been used they are brand new. I'm looking to get $50 for these. Please let me know if you have any questions.

here are the two lights

here is the crack

I'll consider that, but not today, maybe in a week or so if they don't sell. It's the first day I put them up for sale. I am just not going to fall of the price right away. From what I see you can't even get these any more on ebay...I don't know about other places. All the red clears on ebay are 4 pc. These were 72 on ebay when I got them, so I figure knocking of 22 bucks for the crack is pretty fair.

I can do this transaction paypal/money order/check.

Not yet, but I have not heard from either of the people that have expressed interest above you.

I will let you know next week. I already have other people that are interested in both of them so I really doubt I will sell just one.

How much did they sell for, out of curiosity? I was thinking about buying taillight sets and converting them to red/clear and reselling for more to make a bit of cash on the side..

Thanks,
Zach

are you going to custom crack them like the ones I sold? I paid ~75 for these on ebay. One of them had a crack so I glued that peice back on and sold them for less. Last time I looked you can not get the 2 peice anymore, you have to order the 4 pc. which is over 100 on ebay.

I was thinking about buying a bunch of OEM tail light sets for $50 each, clearing them out with acrylic florescent light coverings, and tinting them if people want.. then sell the set of all 4 pieces for like $100. I'd clear out the inner tail light pieces too (that mount to the trunk lid) so that everything matches. I'm not sure if there would be enough interest though..

As for cracks and scratches, the lights and acrylic would be completely flawless. And I would only buy OEM lights that have no scratches or cracks to convert.

If I can find out whether or not there's any interest, I'd get right to work...

If you are interested in doing that I am guessing there would be a much bigger demand for the 95-96 tails since there are not many after market options. If you could pick up the outters and take the orange out and make it red to match the inner tails you would get a lot of business. Let me know if you would like to try this, I would probably be down for a set.

Yeah I definitely well. I'll have to find a set of 95/96's to play around with.

^^^ cannot convert 95-96 stock tails to red / Clear since the plastic itself is orange and not a reflector like the 97-99's...
the only way to do clear/red with the 95-96 is if you pick up a set of completely clear tails ( I think they were called the David L's) and then spraying 1/2 of it ( preferably the bottom half) clear red.

I'm looking for some 97-99 red/clears. I believe I can run accross my inner somewhere. I do need the outers if someone either has some now or can make me a set. Heres my link http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=541574
