Thanks, she hit 179,000 on the way to the meet last night (sorry didn't make it sooner). She has been taken care of, for sure, and I will keep that up. I need to get the bit of rust taken care of soon and a few other parts other then that she runs strong.

yo vern!!!! lol, i had the oldest max till you showed up, oh well. hard to tell in the dark how good she looked. yo guys, i posted pics from the meet in the north eastern section of the forums, there's a silver max that someone had lowered by this professor guy, hmmmm... wonder if i can get him to do my ride?????

Lookin good. I like that 85. I had an 88. Check out my home page if you havent already. I shoulda never sold it. Sold it for 1600 with 210k miles on it. Yes, it was that clean

yep parts from the 3rd will be for sale when i find a place to tear her apart and have a way to move the parts i'm keeping for the 2nd gen.

nice clean 2nd gen. Nice to see that some people still take the time to keep a car of that age in good condition. keep it up, ones in that condition are a rare sight.

Very clean car. I kinda miss my old second gen, even if it was a beater ('87 and nowhere near as clean as yours). Traded that thing with better than 190K on it and it still ran fine.

Does the talking lady still work?? Or was that the next model year?

I remember my uncle had an 87 wagon with the annoying talking lady.....lol

1985 she looks like a minter ! do you have the talking lady ? I had a 2nd Gen I believe it was years ago, it was auto and diesel ! Those cars were actually quite cool back in the day and its good to see one in good condition like yours.

ding ... key is in the ignition !

yep she still yells at me from time to time but hey my battery will never go dead for leaving my lights on
