It looks like I wont get a real chance to use this after all. This is a DD 9500 series 12" subwoofer. This thing is massive. Triple stack magnet, 2000 Watt RMS power handling. These subs have held quite a few world SPL records. I only played it once since I built the box in the back of my cousins Explorer, and it pounds. Sounds smooth and gets low. I am looking for $500 for the whole box. It is currently wired up for 1 Ohm, but can also be wired for 4 Ohms. This is a $900 subwoofer.

 

Is it in a sealed box????

yeah that thing should be in a bigass ported box, what were you powering it with?

 

It is in a braced, sealed box. The box is large enough to go ported as well. I was planning to power it with an Audison VRX500/1. That is the same amp I had test it out in my cousin's truck (2000 X 1 @1Ohm). I wanted to get it in my car and test out how it sounded sealed, and if I wasn't happy, I was going to port it. I had plans to go twin ports on each side of the sub.
