Elevation at Radford VA vs. NOVA

Ok, my i30t ran a 9.79 at 71mph at old dominion in manassas va and i ran it down here at school and ran a 10.53 at 67mph. The elevation here is right about 2,000ft. and in manassas its just above sea level. Keep in mind i'm auto but i still don't think almost a second slower is right.... What do you guys think? I have a DE-K swap and my A/F was right at 12.5-13.0.

haha its just a joke, plus i know him personally.

if you think about it, there alot of differences from track to track and day to day.
-tracks
-temp
-humidity
-time of day
-gas
-how much weight in the car
-etc...

2.7 60ft, wow. That's the majority of the difference in your times right there. Was the car spinning terribly off-the-line or just leaving really slowly? Drop those 60ft times and you could run quicker at both tracks.

Sweet, I might have to hit that track up seeing as how a friend of mine goes to tech.

How did you do that? Did you spin off the line, then stall the engine and have to re crank the car?

I am sure elevation has something to do with it, but you need more consistent launches to even begin to compare the runs.

i mean i really don't know how to drop the 60ft other than maybe the DR mod.....I have tried both just mashing it off idle as well as power brake to about 1300rpm.....

I don't know much about automatic mods, but most of the other guys racing their autos are at least doing around 2.3 or so. I have had a 60' similar to what you posted and I had a complete melt down off the line. I spun first to the rev limiter then still shifted second like an idiot, so I did a super bog in second.
