I took a trip to U of I over the weekend. On the way down there, I noticed my speedo and tach went out. I pulled over and stopped to get some food. When I started the car, I noticed the overdrive light was blinking but I couldn't catch it quick enough. When I cut the car off and tried it again everything worked fine. Any ideas?

dirty battery terminal?

 

It's pretty clean. I'll check it again.

 

i know my battery terminal was dirty... every time i stepped on the brake the rpms and speedo would drop to zero
