What a good place to get a used car loan

Let say i wanted to buy a new maxima, what are some good places to get a good intrest rate on a used car.

My local banks are kind of high around 10%

anyone know of any online banks / sites that have good rates?

try capitalone.com. they respond quickly and the rates aren't too bad, of course depending on your credit.

used car loans tend to be set to outrangeous interest payments. my buddy just had to borrow 10k to buy a 7k car. plus you have to pay extra high insurance payments.

i would borrow money from a family member or friend, or put a lein on something nice that you own.

It is all based upon your credit. The best rates are your credit unions.

how about just saving up until you can buy it in cash? No loans, no hassle, no risk.

Look out for credit car offers . I was able to get what i needed on a cheaper rate through chase credit card company rather than a standard car loan.

I work with credit unions here where I work as a car broker. If you are Tier one credit (The best) The best rate I've seen lately with our credit unions are 7.75% for 84 months or 6.95% for 72 months on a used car!

It depends on the CU... Mine is open to anyone in the area, while we have the Tennessee Teacher's Credit Union, City Employees' Credit Union, and others that are occupation-specific.

ya i bought my current maxima like that, i had 0 % intrest for 12 months, but i only took out a small amount and it was a pita , I dont want to take out a large amount on it.

I guess im gona visit some of my local credit unions and see if anyone will hook me up without having to be a teacher or a post office worker .

Before I became a Loan Officer, I worked for Capital One Auto Finance as an underwriter. I would have to recomened them because its a steamline process and they usally give the best rates for used cars. I don't know what there rates are today but I have a buddy that still works up there and I know he can get you a good rate...if you want me to talk to him i can for you, just email me so I can give you his # at work.

I would say credit union, if you belong to one! Easier to deal with, lower cost loan and all.

There are a couple in Cromwell that have opened recently that are supposed to be taking on new customers. I think you in central CT so it shouldn't be too far from you.
