Finally CARBON FIBER HOOD!!!

Okay guys! So i have been talkin with the guys over at bodykits.org and they will make a C/F hood for our 6th gen Max.

They want to get a group buy going to see how many people would be interested in one of these hoods.

It would be and OEM C/F hood. I did not talk to them about any design for it just an OEM hood.

With 10 people willing to buy one of these hoods the price would be $525 if we get more the price should go down.

So im trying to see if anyone is in on this?

Its gotta be different than OEM. I vote for a small scoop in front or opening or some kind to distignuish it, even like the new BMW 335 twin turbo hood I saw at LA car show or GTR

Yeah if we can get some ideas out there i will let them know. Maybe some photoshops will help as well.

But lets not get all crazy with the designs because we dont want to get stuck like the front bumper did.

YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally!!!:
no u dont want a scoop u want a vent, there is nothing there u want to jam all that air into, ur hood wil flutter.

You need the rear facing vent, the thing that expels warm air from the engine bay.

I think small vents on both sides would be great, I saw something like that in a magazine on a M3. I'll try to get the pictures for you guys and I am pretty sure everyone would agree. I would buy something like that in no time.

I looked for something with a rear facing vent.

I would think we would only need the vent at the rear and not all the other stuff on it.
This is for a 350z

Count Me In...

As as I would prefer a design with vents, I'll take an OEM one. lol I got caught in a hail storm out on the 210 FWY near Pasadena last year. My Hood is jacked! How soon can this happen?

I personally think the celica style would be perfect, very subtle, yet sporty enough to add to the cars style

I like this custom scoop or something close to it with maybe a cowl vent facing the window that could be opened with a manual choke cable to allow the hot air to escape. Its not over done and would function for heat reduction if it had the cowl vent. Best of all you really wouldn't have to worry about any water getting in or wind drag.

I like the hood too but it doesn't work for a everyday driver in winter time or rain.

that would work for the 6th gen....

BUT how would they make it? copying OEM is one thing, creating off a pic is another thing entirely.

Not feeling the vents... I would like just a plain classy look w/ no vents... maybe a small scoop... but vents are too civic'y for me ...

been there... done that ^^^^^^....

i would agree with that but for some weird reason i still think there should be a vent on it and not a roof scoop. thats a lil too much
