Track wheels/tires

Im thinking about getting some new track wheels and slicks for my track car but im not sure what would be some reasonably inexpensive 15" wheels that are wider than stock and allow for a larger tire. Can you guys help me out with this and suggest some wheel and tire combos?

Thanks,
Alex

if you were willing to go to 16's you can get the 300zx 8.5" rears for pretty cheap and they weigh under 20lbs...IIRC they are 18lbs. im pretty sure there is a sticky that answers this question in the wheels/tires forum

has the right bolt pattern, but i would make sure the backspacing works with the car. check the rim calculator in the wheel/tire forum

Ask Aaron where he got his rota slipstream wheels. They're 15x8 and very light weight.

When it says back spacing is 1" does that mean the offset is 25.4mm?

Also does anyone happen to know the offset on stock 3rd gen wheels?

I just called ROTA and there is a 6-8 week backorder on the 15x8 slipstreams but its only 275 for 2 wheels, good price.

The 15x8 Slipstreams are tough to find. But email this guy at [billy@marcuccimotorsports.com]. Nealoc187 bought his set from him. I've talked to him a few times and he seems to be a good guy. He says he can order any color from Rota, but there is a 1-3 month waiting period.

The 15x7 Slipstreams are easier to get.

My 15x8 Slipstreams are exactly 14.5 lbs. That is pretty dang light for such a wide wheel.

These are paired up with 22x8x15 MT slicks. The entire combo weighs 27 lbs.

The offset is a tad on the high side at 40mm. I think the stock 92-94 SE wheel offset is around 38mm.

My 17x7.5 Rota Subzeros have an offset of 45mm. That's pretty high.

12lb Mazda Millenia wheels have an offset of 50mm!!
