Spoilers

I got a GLE (no spoiler) and i wanted to get one on there.
I saw where a guy had a galant spoiler on his max and didn't want to copy but i didn't want the stock max one.
I looked around and thought maybe the subaru legacy spoiler might work
(http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA:IT&ih=009)
or maybe the 2007 g35 spolier
(http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA:IT&ih=013)

anyone kno if these will fit or give an opinion on which would look better?
thanks...

The OEM one looks better than both of those. You might want to consider the M3 Style lip spoiler.

the one that made me a believer

i love it but only if i was a little bit bigger, which got me thinking what about the one thats from the '07 Max, the trunk measures 47" ours is about 49, if it flexes, and a little bit of a mod, it would look hot

i would do a photoshop, but i dont have any pics of the 4th gen w/o a spoiler, and i dont feel like taking it off. but if i didnt have a spoiler, i would give it a shot. something different and nice since we all love how the green i30/M3 lip spoiler looks

love the way it sticks out, the only thing i dont like about the m3 lip is that from the side, it looks like there is no spoiler!!, only looks good from the back

or you can double it up, buy two and put them on top of each other

but if somebody is willing to get the 2007 oem and see would be great, i would but i already have a spoiler, so if i decide to do it it would be later, later on

the price is pretty good off ebay

How about the Type X from Paradox, or, now that CE is back (and if they even sell them), the Type II from CE?

i like the OEM or the type II is a nice change but def ther original shape. it makes it look liek its jsut a sport model for the maxima.. opposed to those civic guys with the mitsubishi eclipse spoilers... a bit ricey

CE is back wow though they were gone for good.

I kinda liked the Type X OEM but with a little twist.

That's what I said/thought too! I think it's under new ownership. The phone number is a different area code, the website has a different feel, the products are a bit different, etc. I've e-mailed customer service three times asking a question about a product and all three were ignored. They are not off to a good (re-)start with me.

The CE spoiler is better than the Type X in the sense that it has mounting holes on all four legs, not just the middle two. But I think the type X gives you a choice of clear or red third brake light. I think both hit a low of $100 on their best of best sales. I actually have one of each in my garage (I'm really bad with making purchases and not installing them ).

It appears to only be custommaxima.com. If you type in custumenterprises.com, it directs you to cm. I guess they went back to only doing maxima and not other nissans. They have free shipping but their prices seem inflated to factor in the shipping (ex. a $650 hood I was looking at is $750 with "free" shipping).

Honestly I'd say go OEM 4th gen or go home. None of these other spoilers really work with the 4th gen's lines, not even the "M style" lip spoiler.

type X.

another view.
it's my car, I like the spoiler and that's why I bought it.
I love the way it hangs back and it looks almost stock so only those in the know... know that it's not stock.

Getting older sucks. At 25 I thought spoilers were cool. Now at 32, I realize they are pointless (on most cars and especially FWD cars) and just add unneeded weight.

I'll be shaving my OEM spoiler from my '99 SE pretty soon.

Hey 4lb is 4lb. What do they say?... A 100lb weight reduction chops about a tenth off your 1/4 mile? Then hey, remove 24 more spoilers from your car and you've got another 1/10 sec.

i don't really know, thats what my car has on it (my 05 gt, not the max lol)
mine is the premium package i think, it is just whatever the dealership wants to put on, my fiances 06 v6 has the wing, not the spoiler and it is the premium package also

max's trunk is 25" across
mustang is 26 3/4" across
max's trunk has a rounder top than the stangs
stangs trunk has a rounder back than the max
the spoiler on the stang all together measures 30 1/4"

i think with some modification to the spoiler you could make it fit,
(cut the part that goes on the trunk down to 25", mold it to have the arch that the max trunk has, ect.)
