New best ET....13.809

ran the max again this weekend. i know the cars got at least 13.7 in it, but with bracket racing and not getting the chance to make a timed run before eliminations i got it in the butt. oh well, dialed 13.85 and ran 13.809@94.45 on the brakes big time...
Heres the slip:

Stock 17's and craptenzas @ 22.5 PSI

Mods:
17* base timing, custom WAI, bored out MAF tube, Aaron's spacers, SSIM, y-pipe, race pipe, VAFC-II, coilovers at full stiff

race weight w/driver ~3100lbs (removed spare tire, tools, jack, all trunk panels, trunk springs, 25lbs sound deadening, 20lbs of random brackets and stuff from engine bay, coilovers saved 30lbs, y-pipe saved 7lbs, heat shields removed, rear seat and pass seat, removed 3lbs from cat, removed tow hooks, front safety bumper gone, brace between rear seats and trunk gone, braces on top of rear struts gone, maybe more that i cant remember?)

going back in like 2 weeks, hopefully will get my 13.7

don't go bracket racing and you won't have to get on the brakes

nice run even with the braking, keep it up.

Good run. If you think that trap is funny try running a 13.1 at 88 mph...

A buddy of my mine with a V8 Vega used to trap 110-112 and run low 14s. Stock rearend and small 60 series tires meant he couldn't get on it until about mid track.

Nice run, especially braking at the end. Maybe a mid 13 if you didn't?

Wow, your car is light for an A33B.

Great times for only having a y-pipe and not headers.

Are you going back to bracket race again? Go to a TnT and see what that thing will do.

Nice times BTW.

well, its costs me like $20 to bracket race and $50 to TnT so...and usually i get in 4-5 rounds of timed runs before the eliminations start and normally make it at least 3 rounds into eliminations so its normally worth it. this day was def an exception

That's expensive. TnT is cheaper with all the tracks I've been to. My local track is $15 for TnT and $45-60 for actual bracket racing with a purse.

At what track are you racing?

Actually I don't remember. Being that it did play a significant role in your time, I would say it would be pertinent information to add to a said mod list (weight savings) if you did in fact have it on a scale for verification.
