I just wanted to bring up this site, it's a fantastic reference on many many things car related, I noticed one chapter of it is referenced in a sticky but didn't find any other mentions, so I thought I'd pass it on.

Although they are from England and sometimes write funny, it is a great site. I have the site bookmarked in my favs, so whenever I have a question, I look it up there first so I don't look like such a noob.
