Pulled Over this weekend (long)

Oh yeah, in all the excitement, I failed to mention that I got pulled over this past weekend. The situation:

I was following Sean(1CLNB14) and his lady friend Jamie to Our car team fellowship hall (team members, you know where I am talking about) and I was a bit behind. I am in North Seattle and I am not quite sure where I am going, and I was a bit far behind Sean and Jamie. Well, they have to take a left at a light ahead of us, and they get through it just fine. Well I, like a smarta$$, decide to gun it since it had already turned yellow and I didn't want to lose them.

Now, I didn't have the FSTB on yet, or this might have gone a bit more smooth, but...

My car opens up hard, and LOUD and I go screaming around the corner. All four corners are squeeling, I completely by pass the first lane that you are supposed to get into before changing lanes, I straighten out for a bit of a drift and finally settle down in the farthest of the two lanes...

$hit! A cop is sitting at the red light 90 degrees from where I started my turn, and he watched my little antic. I see this and, well, knew that this was it... I watch him pull a quick U-Turn and run up on my quick, no doubt hearing my car, and seeing the full drift I did. The lights go on, and I wave at him, knowing that it was for me and that I was toast... I pull into the Safeway parking lot, just as Sean and Jamie, who were kindly waiting for me and also saw the whole thing, left the parking lot. hahaha... well, the cop comes up to my car and says in a sorta sarcastic voice, "man, you really needed to get through that light huh?" I say, "I was following my friends," and that "I was sorry." He asks for my license and Insurance card. Now, I just got new insurance and thus the card wasn't with me yet, so I give him my license and tell him that I don't have the insurance card with me. He then asks if I have insurance, and I tell him yes. He then quickly says, "cause you know what that would do right?" I tell him yes. he goes to the car and checks my record and all the while, I am praying for some sort of repreive. He comes back to my car, and states, "next time, just drive carefully!" He then sent me on my way! Man, and Seattle PD that was hella cool!

Needless to say, my car is a plethora of possible infractions. No front license plate, HID wannabe not DOT approved headlights, and on top of that, one of them is out! and the lack of proof of insurance could have killed me... aside from the speeding, driving too fast for conditions (ie squeeling) and skipping the first lane when making a left turn.

Dude, God really answered some quick prayers there!

Okay, done.

And the moral of the story: Don't do stupid stuff when your car won't pass inspection!

If you do, expect to pay a hefty fine, or know how much to bribe the cops.
