that is some nice patching work. Did you do it with the harness in or out? Were they in danger at all during the process?

I thought your supposed to be at work?!! I suppose you can chop off that section I need

I did it with the harness, pushed it down clear, and remove that insulation junk. It was really close but I was careful.

I figured that it was in a minor accident when I bought the car from a body shop. But after I got the fender off I, it in fact wasn't too bad, just was repaired very well. The tower was a little off effecting my caster a Tad.

I thought someone would mention the wire

my big fear on stuff like that is what happens underneath, since you can't get in there to prime & paint it? just bare metal open to the elements.
not much you can do tho.

Nah... Best thing I found so far is that rubberized undercoating after paint.

Was this a Southern car? I ask because I thought you lived in GA. Or was it from somewhere up North where there is salt...?

The whole seem around the strut tower was rusted out so I went ahead and redid it. Along with adding a new outer bracket from ustfdes.
Everything is lined up pretty good, the tower was leaning inward 3/4 of an inch, now it's just about perfect. I know this because the fsm give certian body point to check for a straight body. Welds look ugly, but once it's ground down and smoothed out it won't be noticed from the engine bay.

I've played with a mig welder as a kid, at work I have to fab up metal for duct transitions, and good advice from experienced ppl. If you really want to learn, the best way is to take a welding/ metal working class at a tech center.

If I can fix it... I'm going to fix it, then go further.

I like to think I spoil my car.

Yeah, I riveted alumin brackets to the fender before I cut the new line. Worked like a charm

Dayum dude, that is some serious structural surgury there. These type of threads make me so grateful they don't salt our roads around here.. I take it you didn't know of this rust prior to performing all of the custom body work? Props on getting all of the alignment points true.
