Got a Code 0707- Rear Heated O2 Sensor
Alright guys, today i was on the highway driving like 65 and then the service light comes on for the first time for me. I check to see wut codes pops up and its 0707 rear heated o2 sensor. Where the hell is that, and if its serious. I reseted the ECU and just drove regular and it didnt come back on. Im hoping it will not come back on
it means sooner or later your going to have to replace your oxygen sensors (front and rear eventually i waited until i could get both then installed them) you can do them your self its' quite easy with a 7/8' wrench and/or a oxygen sensor socket from autozone
what year is your car? i think the location varies between 95/6 and 97-99.my 95 has the sensor installed in a bung on the side of the cat. I think that the sensor is located after the cat on 97+ (not positive). it is not serious and will not impact gas mileage or performance. I bought mine from www.oxygensensors.com

my car is a 96 maxima. IF you say its gonna fail, i guess i should just replace all 3 right if that is how many we have. Wheres the best place to get cheap prices for O2's. Im not liking the universal O2's though
no..... Location dosent vary exceptfed spec and cali spec y-pipes, and even then... you have 3 oxygen sensors total for 95-07 one front bank, one rear bank, and one after the cat, and yes when your o2 sensors crap out so does your mileage, and yes it is serious to get fixed.

apart from ebay, the best price that you will find is on www.oxygensensors.com
what are you talking about? the rear sensor is either ON the cat, or AFTER the cat, depending on the year of the vehicle. and UNLIKE the front sensors, the rear o2 does not impact mileage at all. ever notice that some cats have a pre weelded bung for the o2 sensor and some do not? the ones with the hole are for 95/96 vehicles. and all cars do not necessarily have 3 sensors, cali spec vehicles have four.
you could try calling up arch auto parts, they have locations all over ny, their prices are usually decent. they might charge around the same or more than that website though. i know you said you dont want to deal with the universal sensors, but when i changed out my rear o2, i bought 2 universals for the front. i spliced them in, did the shrink wrap, and wrapped up the connection with some electrical tape. no problems going over a year now, connection's still solid. only reason i didnt go universal for the rear was that i couldn't find one for my '95, they only had them for '96 & up. i see a universal on ebay now for the '96 for $19
