budget y to loud?

since i put my budget on i been getting way to much attention from the police. It is really obnoxious.

Anyone else experincing this?

i have a really bad leak around the welds in my b pipe section. Is it this why it is so loud???

From reading your signature, it looks like you have a straight pipe from the cat to the muffler. Do you not have a resonator? That might quiet it a bit. Otherwise I would get a quieter muffler.

i have no resenator stock piping.. But before i got this y pipe on my exahust was not loud at all!! it would be semi loud up to 3 k. This one drones soooooo bad over 4k when u let go of the accelerator. i liek the power increase but cops r pulling me over almsot daily.

I would say keep the y-pipe and have a resonator reinstalled/welded in.

The stock piping has a resonator in it

I say its say its a combination of the Y-pipe and the obx exhaust. IMO they are way to loud

Not if you get a good one. Magnaflow has great high flow resanators.

Resonators don't hurt anything on an N/A car. Get a big resonator, and it will quiet it down considerably.

I'm absolutely amazed that everyone is telling you to get a resonator when you clearly stated that you have a really bad exhaust leak. Yeah, it will be loud without one, but fixing the leak will quiet it down substantially.

If its stock cat-back, it should not be loud at all. I have the same setup with a warpspeed y-pipe and it is quite quiet. The only thing I really hear is my CAI when I step on the gas. Sounds like you have a leak. Fix that.

You have to be out of your mind if you think a straight exhaust with no resonators, and an after market Y-Pipe is quiet. It has been established many time that a Y-Pipe will make ANY car a little louder no matter what exhaust set up they have. The difference is the degree of loud. The less restriction, the louder it gets.

I know the leak was addressed but that will not do much to quiet the car if he's still missing a resonator. I was rolling without a resonator for 6 months, and my car was heard every time I was around. Even at idle the car was too drony. Resonator fixed most of the noise.

I had a WarpSpeed y-pipe with my Cattman exhaust and it was way too loud. I did not have any exhaust leaks either, but I went back to the stock y-pipe and I am much happier.
