the other two bolts hold the rest of the plate.
I just finished fixing the same problem, only mine was on the passenger side. On that plate that the three screws go through, one screw is short & and the other two are long. the one that spripped was the short one so I took a drill & bit & drilled completly through and bought a 3'' hardned steel bolt, nut & washer & went through the control arm plate & the sub frame. Worked pretty good
drill and tap and get a high grade bolt . If its really bad increase to a larger size bolt/tap. You can find a tap that large man but its not going to be a 5$ deal you have to realize that.
longer bolts are not neccessary.
nuts are not necessarry as they are tapped OEM into the subframe.
What you should do first is try and tap the metric thread and see how it goes.
if that does not work, drill and tap it out to what ever the closest size up is.
its not that complicated, the subframe is pretty thick you can re-tap it.
this is not rocket science man
and if you dont have access to a tap set, a small town shop will hopefully hook you up and let you borrow it if you're nice enough if you have any more serious Q's ask.
