My cars been making a loud assed whining and scraping
noise for some reason. Cant figure out what it is.
I dont think it could be the brakes, but it might be.
When i turn the car and stuff and put more load on the
wheels, sometimes the sound goes away. Any ideas?
BTW it only makes the sound when i'm moving... haha

 

have you had your wheels off lately, or done anything with the struts or brakes?

check to make sure the dust shields behind your rotors aren't rubbing anywhere.

also check your power steering fluid.. possibly not, but it could be..

it could also be worn out pads.. check all of the above and you should find the problem.

 

I have a similar funky sound, but it seems to originate from somewhere near the belts. It sounds like a rapid clicking sound, and it gets louder when I turn tight radii. I checked my power steering fluid, and it's full. Any clues? Also, Matt93, are you still parting out your GXE? If so, I'd love to buy your hood emblem and clear red trunk cover.
