so i live in california, and my buddy was sayin if im in cali means my car is cali spec...i wnt 2 order a y pipe, but on the door it says....


can any1 help me out? all federal motor...does taht have anything 2 do w it?

Raise your hood. Look for a shiny metal identification tag fastened to the passenger side of firewall. The top row is the Vehicle Identification Number, starting with J. The second row is model information. The first five characters are BLHUL. The 12th character is the destination:

N = Canada
V = California
U = US, not California

if u have a 99 maxima u have cali spec buddy if u buy a y pipe it gotta be cali spec unless if u put headers it wont matter
