3rd Gen Maxima Chase Scene

So, does anyone remember that movie mentioned a while ago about the maxima chase scene? It's on a movie called Consequence released in 2003. I went ahead and ordered it from Amazon.com and ripped the maxima chase scene. It's a little disappointing, but here it is!

damn, look at the lift on that sucker!

anyone else hear the VTC's?

....or wonder why a random-a$$ed large dipstick landed on the closed hood with that weird pink fluid spraying from the wrong direction?

edit: they also destroyed a few good 3rd gens in the process, as well as a few on the cuts that didnt make it. shame.

That was pretty rediculous. I hate how they just crashed them in to things without having them put up some kind of a good chase. Typical movie though, you know if the main character was driving the max it would've been a different story...

Meh, it was a very low budget film apparently... The whole "Toro" thing made me feel embarrassed to watch it? Don't know how that works...

VG at WOT (2 broken studs.. 1 on #2 and 1 on #6):
http://s164.photobucket.com/albums/u...t=MVI_0511.flv

VE at WOT (no muffler and a 3k high-stall TC):
http://s164.photobucket.com/albums/u...t=MVI_0509.flv

but those [edit for alex v's slow self ->] chase scene cars really don't sound like mine.. weird. I want to drive another VG auto to compare someday.

The original post made it sound like the VG in the movie and his video of him at the strip didnt sound like his car. Silly jared

It is unlikely they actually use the sound recorded when shooting the scene, almost the only sounds recorded during the shoot they actually use is the voices. Just about every other sound is added later (even on low budget movies), so the engine sound could easily have been from a completly different car.

The guy jumping in his VW and screamed was random funny.
The Guy Falling down while the VW is going towards him? WTF? Did he get ran over?

The 4x4 Maxima, That car had more lift than Joan Rivers' face. It's not practical, but it doesn't seem that bad. I'll love to see our Max with hydraulics.

Little did you guys know that in the early 90's, Nissan put out a Maxima SJ model which came factory with 4x4 features for "Stair Jumping". Which works out great if you ever find yourself in a situation such as the movies chasing a Volkswagen Beetle up and down various flights of stairs. Goodtimes.
