I am installing a sun visor lcd and am almost finish except for running the wire down the side pillar. Do anyone know how to take of that side pillar strip where the front tweeter is embedded into? I just dont want to break or snap anything. Any help would be great guys.Thanks

 

Yup... it just pops off with cheap clips that will probably be damaged afterwards. Pry carefully. Use some epoxy to repair the clips.

 

It does pop off. Pull it away from the headliner, starting at the top of the pillar and then work your way down.

I've pulled mine off a couple times and never broken a clip.

 

Is that visor plastic or cloth?

 

It is made out of plastic. Anyone else? I remember seeing a gujide somewhere to taking it off. But I cant find it now.

 

I took the pillars off when replacing the tweeters in my I30. I had no problem, just used a screw drive wraped in a cloth and pried it off from the top down. Just go slow and don't use too much force.

Thanks for the help and the player and visor are all in one unit if you cant tell.Its not a seperate player. Also i bought thsi unit on ebay and jsut went and met the guy locally to pick up . Paid $65 bucks for it and it works great.
