hey guys i have a 99 i30 and i found some aftermarket ebay lights that look pretty nice, just wondering if they would match the center portion of my lights? (color and where the white/red match)

 

I've been looking at these for a little while too. They also have a tail light similar to these except they have another strip of red at the bottom (pretty sure that's what they are at least). Pics of these on an I30 would be sweet

 

i would really like to buy them, but i want to make sure the color is going to match with my center piece or look close

 

If you have 98-99 I30's ..and matching these to your I30 trunk Center piece, the colors are very close, but they won't line up correctly. But if you have 96-97, then the problem area (other than the color), is that your Stock I30 trunk center piece and tailights have indention between the red and clear or red and amber part.

So, if you have 96-97 I30's.. get these:

or clear out the amber yourself.

if you have 98-99, then you are better off leaving it stock
Otherwise, you might see some unmatched tailights like these:
