04 SE(auto) VS 07 GTI

I was driving home from dropping my wife of at work on Saturday when this kid in a GTI starts tailling me. We are on a road with a lot of traffic. So I just take it easy till the road finially opens I wait for him to try to pass and then I drop it in to 2nd(30 mhp) and hit he pulls for one second and then I just walk away hard. He tried like thre more times we even went from a dig and same result all four times. I guess it was stock cause chipped I would had lost. Owell win is a win. Happy with the Max but still want more..

^^If it's an 04SE, then it's a 5 speed auto. The SL (why?) came with a 4 speed auto.

The range Rover sport is not as fast as I thought either. Thier times are slow. Too fn heavy. STANDING-START ACCELERATION
0-60 mph: 6.82 sec
0-100 km/h (62.1 mph): 7.21 sec
0-quarter-mile: 15.11 sec @ 92.7 mph

ROLLING ACCELERATION
20-40 mph (first and second gear): 2.8 sec
40-60 mph (second and third gear): 3.8 sec
60-80 mph (third gear): 5.1 sec
