Does PepBoys still lend out tools?......

I need to swap my rims.....i NEED to budget myeslef folks....so i don't want to spend money to have the shop do it when i get my car inspected this week. I *could* use my jack from the trunk but thats a major PITA to do for each wheel. Also....a torque wrech would be nice for safety sake.

SO....does pepboys rent out car jack's that are the fast kind(like nascar style)?

You need to put down a deposit right?

Is this the same torque wrench to be used when installing a FSTB? I want to try installing it myself when i do decide to order one.

Tried asking a couple of shops and they'd install it for me for like $40 given i buy the FSTB from them. Too costly.

What do you guys think? Is this something i can do on my own?

Yes, all you do is remove the Strut tower nuts, then you put the bar over the bolts and tighten hte nuts back down. I torque wrench is a goo idea.

MikeS, use the wrench in your trunk to remove the bolts, a TQ wrench is designed to tighten bolts precisely, not loosen them.

They make FSTB's for 2002's? Or do the other 5th gens fit? I didn't think they would...
And yes, it is something you can do. Just remember to have the car on a flat surface.

I just use a large breaker bar with the socket it came with to remove them

He may need a low profile chrome wrench, it depends on the rims .

nope......just good old Nissan Z rims The regular trunk wrench will work fine. No fancy chrome, no crazy aftermarket look......just 7.5 inches of pure nissan wheel! I'm conviced its more important for the tire to sit better on the wheel than just going for all out tire size on a skinny rim. I've only got 225's on there and i have to drive like a mad man to get em to squeal in a turn....they simply just stick to the road.
