I went back to the strip today and ran a new best time....
There was a head wind and the temp was about 20 degrees warmer than Friday night, so I was concerned that I would run a bit slower, even with good gas now.
I was wrong.
Here is my quickest run, remember there was a head wind, so it affected the top end slightly.
R/T ... .609
60' ... 2.104
330 ... 6.091
1/8 ... 9.410
MPH ... 73.96
1/4 ... 14.715
MPH ... 92.34
I eventually ran 93 m.p.h. as the evening wore on, but my traction started suffering from worn tires, so no improvement on the early best times, even with higher trap speeds. I ran 3 14.7's.
I am going to scan some of my slips and I'll post them over the next day or so.
Needless to say I was very pleased with todays runs and the 60' time on the best run was my best ever on street tires!
Guess I have my best baseline "stock" run now.
Should be fun watching it get faster as I modify it now.
If all goes well with my wife, I'll s/c it this January.
I was wrong.

I launched at around 3,500 rpms, after doing a couple of quick spins to check for traction. I hold the e brake up and wait for the last yellow to light up, then as it does I drop the e brake while feathering out the clutch and modulating the throttle, keeping the rpms from dropping to much. On the other two 14.7 runs I ran 2.130 and 2.129 60' times.
I just got better with practice. This car is actually easier to launch than my Prelude was.
