question regarding the clear 3m paint gaurd on rear 1/4s
well i have some paint chips on the rear right 1/4 and over the spring will be fixing it. The right rocker skirt needs to come off as well to fix some stuff under the molding. My question is, there is a clear plastic chip guard on the bottom part where the 1/4 and the back door meet. I have looked but havent read anything regarding them. It looks like some 3m clear film that i have seen on the newer cars on their front ends. Has anyone replaced these as they will need to be removed to do the work and i would like to put new ones on after im done...

If you dont, should not be to much to have a 3M installer customize a piece to your specs.

thats what i was thinking too. i can buy the 3m tape and cut it to the way it should be. I have this tape on the back but it will need to come off and im assuming it will get damaged taking it off.
