Step 1: Return what you bought.
Step 2: Buy the KYB boots recommended (SB103 and SB108).
Step 3: Install as recommended, withough the need for cutting.
Step 4: ???
Step 5: Prosper.

I have no experience with using the OEM boots, as the normal recommendation 'round here is to go with the KYB boots.
I have no idea how to recommend that you cut them. Without knowing the length of them (overall and the bumpstop portion), I don't know how to advise you. It is odd, however, that despite the recommendations of the org, you still got OEM parts, then asked us how to modify them to fit your needs when there is an off-the-shelf part that will do the same, at a lesser cost.

HMMM...those look JUST LIKE the KYB front boots...You may not need to cut them at all. Unfortunately, you won't know for sure until you get everything taken apart.
Maybe buy a single KYB boot and compare, then return the longer one(s).
I know I seem llike a broken record, but you don't need to be an innovator here. Go with what is proven to work.
EDIT:
Good choice.
