I have a BRAND NEW!!!! C/F Trunk lid. Its never been put on my car. And well I need to sell it. I want $450 for it, and depending on the place I can either meet you or bring it to you. If you are within a 2 hour radius I will be more then happy to bring it to you, NO CHARGE. If you are out of a 2 hour radius I will be more then happy to meet you half way with NO CHARGE. And if I have to ship it shipping will be $130 shipped! For those who have never shipped anything this big and fragile, you have to pay for a pallet which is like $75, then you have to get a box made which is about $35, you also have to buy enough bubble wrap to wrap it, tape, peanuts which is like $40, then you have to pay for shipping which can cost anywhere from $50-$100. Oh and not talk if we want to add insurance. So I'm not trying to stiff anyone, and as you can tell I will be losing big time on this. I don't have a commercial account or anything so I have to pay full price for everything. So let me know what ya'll want. The trunk is made by IONIC Dynamics. thanks for the bumps. I don't know if everyone knows but this is a brand new lid!!!! The price is pretty much firm. So please no low balling. Like mentioned before it cost almost $200 if not more just to ship this item CORRECTLY!!!!

Yeah I know you can ship, but an extra $175 for shipping doesnt make this worth it to me.

 

i wish I could do something cheaper for the shippment, but I sold my cf hood for $400 shipped, and after paying for box and all the other stuff shipping, pallet, insurance, etc...I only got ALMOST $200 out of the deal. I think I end up getting like $198.07 in my pocket. And with this one here, the $175 still don't cover the shipping cost 100%.

If you know Jose@Ionic, he's a nice guy and always willing to work out the price. I got mine real cheap before shipped (I won't say the price) and after about a year I had to sell it (with a spoiler). You don't really need to use all that to ship this thing. I live in NJ and shipped it to a guy in TX for about 60 bucks with just crap load of bubble wrap and a strudy homemade box shipped via UPS (used most of the original packing materials from Ionic). Since it's CF, it's light but you just gotta pay little more for oversize. UPS insurance for $500 bucks isn't that expansive.

If someone is local, this is a GREAT deal.

Well I shipped my hood. And it was like $200 bucks total for all the shipping stuff, bubble wrap, box, insurance, pallet....everything. As for UPS they told me it would be like 100 just to ship. And i still have to pay for everything else. Jose is an awesome guy props to him for making some awesome c/f stuff. But he can work with the shipping price more b/c he probably has a commercial acct which is different then just shipping something once or twice. But I'll ask again and get print out on possible shipping quotes this weekend and post them up. And if I find cheaper then I'll def lower the price. I have no problem with lower the shipping price if I can find it cheaper to ship.

 

I heard Greyhound offers very nice prices for shipping items this size.

 

I'm off tomorrow so I'm going to take the actually box down to a couple shipping places and try to get more prices. I was informed to keep from being charged an extra $50 buck, it has to be no bigger then 32x20x22. So I'll find out tomorrow

ok this is the deal, I was able to get the trunk lid in a small enough box to be 100% safe to ship. So I was able to knock off $45 off shipping. I'm still eating some shipping cost but oh well. So hopefully this'll help some people out.
