too? cause they are kinda wobbley.. I never thought my shifter could be adjusted to make it have a tigher feel, but someone here said it was possible... is there a way to make it feel smoother in the gates at least?

URBAN DICTIONARY:

1. the gates 1 thumb up

the gates, a rather famous art exhibit hitting the city of new york last winter, featuring large "saffron" panels of fabric on square frame, was most famous for its utter lack of point. While some art critics loved cristo's open-ended declaration of art, of allowing the viewers to make up their own meanings for the exhibit, others, and many civillians, were stuck by the utter meaninglessness of the project, as the pieces of fabric resembled lawn decorations.

also, more broadly, an example of anything utterly useless and ridiculous, on a grand scale.

I went to see the gates in central park last year, and didn't understand it.

This is as useless as the gates, man.

You probably have a few bolts a little loose in the shifter assembly. Tighten everything up and get a B&M and you won't notice much play.

Some new bushing wouldnt hurt either (i think only factory is avail, no aftermarket), and the shifter linkage a fellow org'er was re-building. Someone else might be able to shed some light on that subject, i'm drawing a blank.

No. The gates are inside the transmission.
