Diameter of signal on 5.5 gen headlights

Any one know the diameter of the amber turn signal on 5.5 gen headlights?
Or if someone has a set apart could you measure it? Info is needed for a upcoming project, trying to minimize down time. Thanks

if you're clearing the signal, just use the how-to posted here....you can dremel a new piece to the right size in about 5 minutes....

I am planning on removing the amber lens, but wanted to replace it with something different, other than the frosted or linear diffused lens that other orger's are using. The how-to was good info, i just need the diameter too. Thanks

3" Diameter on the front side. 3.5" on the rear, rear has a 1/4" lip on each end for mounting in the clips.

I actually just removed it completely, and dremeled out the parking light lens. Will throw pics up when I get a chance.

+1.8758 There is a 1/4" lip on the back side all the way around the lens. Might even be as small as an 1/8th of an inch but the whole lens is a little concaved and I measured to compensate.

Yeah just be careful dremeling it. It took me a while only because I didn't have the proper attachement. But I eventually cut it. Trick is to trace well. And take your time and be sure to grind it evenly all the way around. And when you think you got close keep trying to fit it inside the housing, grind some more away, untill its just right.
