battery light and brake light

battery light and brake light

so as im leaving my house i turn my car on and i noticed that my battery light and my brake light are on i tried turning it off and back on again that didnt work so i drive a couple miles to see if the car felt any diffrent it drives like nothins wrong with it so i am confused does anyone have any sugestions ??

wow and i just fixed a whole bunch of ish on her if i would have known i would have saved a little bit of money lol

could also be a major electrical/charging system issue.

I just replaced my alternator because it was making a horrible noise. Within half an hour of driving, both those lights came on for me. 20 minutes later, the day time running lights have stopped working. I think I'm going to take off that new alternator and have it bench tested to see if it's working properly.

Other than that I don't know what else to do.

Are your lights on steady or do they sorta flash on and off. Not at full bright, but more like half? Mine will flash off and on. I bought a new belt and tensioned it properly. Thought that might help. It didn't.

just get a DVOM and touch the red to red and black to black on the battery post and you should see 14.2V or very close to that number.
