I have a 97 SE & for some reason, my passenger side foglight always burns out. Two weeks ago, I installed a aftermarket hyper white 55watt foglight to replace one that burned out a long time ago & now the new one is dead. My friend says Nissans always have problems with their passenger side foglights..his 240 has the same problem...and so do two of his other friends with Nissans. Is this just a coincidence or is it something more?

Weird

That seems strange to me. I am going to say coincidence, but mine is cracked due to my own fault so add me to the list of passenger side fog woes...

What could cause it to burn out?

I mean, I don't use higher wattage lightbulbs & plus, I'm very careful not to touch the glass on the bulb.

same thing here...

its quite frustrating...i've gone through 8 sets of fogs because of it, but the guy at the shop i buy them from gives them to me for free because i blame him for his whack bulbs. =) shady...yes i know. i brought it to the dealer and they wanted $50 just to take a look at it...needless to say, i didn't do it. if anyone finds out why this is, please let me know.

I have the same prob, except my driver's side fog keeps going out. I think we should trade driver's side fog lights. Then you could go into the dealership and complain how both your fogs aren't working right.

yes, like bernie

my passenger fog is cracked due to my own fault.....high wattage bulbs!! but if it makes everyone feel better, both of my fogs work great.

Here I go hinkin I was the only one. It's really a pain, however, after tinkering around with the wiring and such, I haven't had any recent problems with it.
