2004 Maxima Runs 12.801 ET ! PERSONAL BEST!!

I was happy but disappointed I was so close to running a 12.7, but a 12.80 is not bad for the "Grocery Getter" Here's two of my runs:

Man it just keeps getting better and better. Nice job man keep up the great work!! Hows the car liking that new suspension?? Another question do you have a window switch or do you just flip the switch at a certain rpm and what do you launch at?

that's a killer to get so close to 12.7, atleast you know the car is good for it. But I think you'll be able to squeeze out a 12.6 soon.

any plans for a larger shot of nitrous

Love that intake, I am surprised your traps aren't a little higher especially with that manifold. I know what you mean with the 12.7 and being so close. The same thing happened with me when I ran a 13.040@110mph. Just couldn't get that damn 12 second run.

Thanks for the kind words! No window switch depending on how the track is prepped I hit the nitrous between three and four thou. RPM's. I'm seriously looking at a dual stage setup. I,m happy with the trap speeds I'm hitting now, it's the 60' I need to bring down last year my best 60' was 1.84 and this year 1.92 so I need to be at 1.90 to run that 12.7 and if I hit that 1.84 to 1.86 mark 12.6 for sure

I hear ya man sounds like you will be there in no time. You will prolly even be a lil lower that what your expecting. I had a dissapointing day at the track yesterday but I cant be that mad because I was out there once again on street tires lol. My best run yesterday at import faceoff was a 13.33 @ 110mph. The trap speed is there but I was just blowing my tires off with a whopping 2.4 60ft lol.. Anyways enough about me, keep up the great work and keep us posted.

Nice Trap speed did you up the pill since your 107MPH? It's time for drags or slicks bro! You'll run 12's allday long!

Yea the car trapped a lil quicker yesterday. Havent upped the pills yet I just got the car tuned with the 75shot on Friday with an SAFCII. It is def time to go get some drags, not only did I blow the tires off 1st and 2nd but the car got real loose up top and it scared the hell outta me, part of that is track prep but the other par is tires. I should be in the 12s easily once I get some drags. I had my mind set on breaking 12s with street tires but its almost impossible. Its tough trying to keep up with you man, that bar is way up there lol. Keep raising it though we all enjoy it.

Yea it gave decent gains, not so much on motor but def on the nitrous. On a 75shot the car made 325whp and 340tq and then I did a 100shot pull just for the hell of it and the car made 342whp and 367tq but the bottle pressure dropped a little but all in all I'm pretty happy with the results. I cant wait til Cattman comes out with the headers and then I'll get the cams, should be a lil quicker with those mods. But I'll post some runfiles from last friday over in the dyno section sometime this week hopefully. And I'm def going to take your advice and go grab a set of drag radials lol..

It's amazing how much torque the nitrous puts out compared to the WHP numbers you made 15- 25 lb.ft.of Torque more . When I dynoed I made 47 lb.ft.of torque more, I really think the kinetix plays a big role in that. What bottle pressure were you at ?

I'm actually thinking about lowering my shot to the 65 and 55 jets to see what kind of 60' times I can pull off.

The Knetix def plays a huge roll on nitrous and thats what some people arent understanding but oh well, it can be our lil secret lol.. My bottle pressure was at 1050 when I got the 325whp on the 75shot pills, and it fell to just under 1000 on the 100shot pull when I got 342whp. Good thing is I have two tunes setup on the SAFCII one is for the 75shot and the other is for the 100shot when I get around to using it. But my afr was tuned on both of those pulls and it is set right around 12.8.

Still not bad '60's at all. Hitting 12's makes you feel a world of difference from running 13's doesnt it? haha

congrats once again man, it keeps getting better and better. If you can pull that 1.84 or something close to that the car will be into 12.6s. keep up the good work man.

Jucied SE-R.. I think i have you as a friend on streetfire.. cool to see another se-r altima on here seeing is there are no forums for altimass... anyway I have ordered my walbro 255 fuel pump to handle a 150 shot IF I ever wanted to do it.. no big deal, better safe then sorry.. I have a kit i bought from a friend.. it is a 24.5 pound bottle (Nitrous express kit) with purge and everything needed except window switch and one line is missing. Do I need a window switch.. I do alot of on the highway after midnight racing and will not be doing dig runs.. I know they are about $150 but do not fill like purchasing one if not needed. Do I need to get it tuned and installed at same time? Sorry I am also one of th emany that are just very cautious with nitrous and want to do it correctly. Thanks... oh and sweet timess!!

I would suggest tuning the 150shot on the dyno cause with that size shot it's very important that your a/f is correct.

I suggest shooting for high 11 to low 12 a/f with a 150shot

I am currently running a 100shot at around 12.8 a/f and some think thats alittle lean but when I step up to a larger shot I will richen it up alittle more with the fuel jets

I would suggest getting the window switch better to have and not need than to need and blow your motor
