I know this is a noob question but.. what type of security system comes with the stock 1994 maxima SE or GXE and what exactly does the security system do?? immobilizer?? alarm????

Depends where u were when u bought it. In Europe, the stock Maxima -94 alarm was herring-shoal -type. It works most of the time (=sharks hit the next vehicle). Best herring-shoal feature is: no false alarms, never...

The stock US type inhibits startup w/o keys, starts to whine. May immobilize the most faint hearted crooks.

 

the alarm will start going off and you can't start the car without putting the key in the door and unlocking it from the outside to turn the alarm off. A few times each summer I'll have left the window down and i'll reach inside and pull the lock up and the alarm will go off, haha.
