New Daily Rider

Picked this up to keep the miles of my car(s) and to save some $$$ on gasoline.

2001 Kawasaki ZX6R Ninja.

Its lowered all around, which I will fix because I don't like how the bike handles. New rear tire, front will be replaced soon. D&D exhaust, diff sprocket, K&N + Jets, Powercommander. K&N oil filter and Amsoil is the only thing I run on my bikes.

I got it for dirt cheap off my friend, it doesn't have a scratch on it anywhere but the muffler.

I might be adding a Yamaha Warrior to the stable soon once I get rid of my 94 Legend !

Its funny, I went to the DMV to get my license- I dunno many people who actually get one, but I want to be 100% legit as I'm going to ride ALOT now....

Folks @ the DMV tell me they have record amounts of people coming in for DL tests for motorcycle endorsement. Bike sales are through the roof thanks to our gasoline prices.

I know how deadly bikes can be, but 95% of the time its not the rider but the dumb bish in a SUV who didn't see him/her.

I got Joe Rocket armor that set me back quite some coin, HJC helmet etc... I don't ride w/o my gear.

Nice ride Mike.
Be careful out there man. My brother dropped his once and the right peg went into his shin. He still rode the bike home like that though haha

Was never a huge fan of the Kawi neon green, but congrats nonetheless. There's something about being on a bike, there is no way anyone can catch you under WOT on a new 600, and even if they did, you have body armor, a full-face helmet and CF knuckles in case anyone wants to get roudy.

Neon green works for me- its HIGHLY visible ! Thats a huge plus in todays lazy society that doesn't look, use turn signals etc.

Bike hasn't seen 100MPH till I got it, nor did it ever see any 1 wheel action either before my ownership. My friend didn't ride it for 2 years because his 500+WHP EVO is his DD.

Believe it or not, myself and few friends actually rather go fast in a car.... bike is more of a cruise/drive to work kinda thing. I'm VERY careful on a bike. I drive like I stole, my car.

I hate when people lower bikes. There's nothing that says "I don't understand how a motorcycle works" more than lowering it. Glad you'll be fixing that!

Either that or "I'm short/I have stubby legs," or "I don't like mah front wheel off the ground"

Oh, that's right, there is more than one reason to lower your bike.

But I tend to agree that lowering a bike is not a good idea if you don't have to.

I guess I'll give you that one about short/stubby legs... but your right wrist is what keeps your front wheel off the ground, especially on a 600. Unless you are a drag racer or a short person, or better yet a short drag racer, why would you sacrifice handling?

That'd look good in the driveway

Nice bike, I've really wanted to get one since I was old enough to get my license, but I've been avoiding it b/c of the danger (from other drivers...). There's just not nearly enough protection for the rider in even minor accidents. My father hasn't ridden a bike in 20 years and still has daily pain b/c of it.

Why twist your wrist less when you can lower the CG and not have to?

Most guys will just use a strap to compress the front suspension when they go to the track, but if your bike is primarily a straight-line bike, why not?

Well I picked it up for less 3K, way less.

Originally the bike comes with all kinds of graphics from the factory.... well those have been removed right after my friend bought the bike. I like it that way and most people confuse my 600 for something else.

Stock.

very nice! I'm looking into a bike myself. I think I'm going to get my sister's boyfriend's CBR600.
