Illumina question

Im running eibach/illumina conbo, which i have set to 2F/3R ... it feels like a pretty harsh ride since roads where i am are bad. So i was wondering if it would do any harm to my illuminas if i set the front to 1.

Why would it do damage? That's wht the setting is there, so you can use it.

Harshness should be better attributed to wheel / tire combo. When I put my Illuminas on "1", they tend to feel really 'floaty;.

Why would it do any harm?
And to answer your question, no, it would not harm your shocks. I've had mine running on 1's F&B for a while on some pretty horrible NY roads. Everything is fine as far as I can tell. I recently bumped them back up to 5/5 to enjoy the twisties on the way to work. You'll be fine.

The reason why i wondered it would do damage is becuase at 1, it feels pretty soft..and bottoming out is possible

How long have you have them? I have the same combo running 4/4 for the last month and it doesn't feel harsh for the most part...but sharp bumps yah they do make the CD player skip.

I think the reason why some would be concerned is because there seems to be a lot of talk out there saying that IT'S GOOD TO GET ADJUSTABLE STRUTS, SO THAT YOU CAN ADJUST THEM TO MATCH THE RATE OF THE SPRINGS. If that is the case, then there would be setting on the Illuminas that matches the Eibachs well, while other settings might not.

I'm a little lost in this myself.... but looking forward to playing around with them myself. Just picked up a set Eibachs and my Illuminas should be here any day now.

I have the same set up w/ eibach pro kit w/ illuminas. Try 1 in the front and 3 in the rear or 2 in the rear. You may like that better.
