SE-R @ Import Faceoff

We had an event called Import Faceoff here in Oklahoma a few weeks back and I entered in the bracket races for the 14.99 and quicker cars I figured with me being an automatic and knowing how I drive that I could be very consistant and possibly win the thing so I thought what the hell is there to loose. So my thoughts were right I ended up winning my bracket. My reaction times all day long were under .050 which is pretty good I even busted a .002 lol it was crazy. My final was vs a 350z and the guy didnt run fast enough so it was an easy win for me. My time in the final race was a 14.22@ 100mph with a 2.3 60ft and I was on my street tires. I did make a few passes on the bottle in the test n tune lanes. It was the first time I had run the car since it got tuned with the SACFII. I did both passes on a 75 shot. First nitrous pass I had a 2.3 60ft and ended up running a 13.58@ 100mph. The car blew tires through 1st, 2nd caught traction in 3rd and then lost it again and wanted to go towards the wall so I let out and then got back into it and it did it again so I gave up. My second pass wasnt all that great but it shows promise. I cut another 2.3 60ft but my 1/4 mile time was a 13.31@ 111mph still blowing tires through 1st and 2nd gear. So needless to say I should of used my DR's but I was shooting for 12s on street tires which is alot harder to do than I thought it was. I used to be able to cut 2.0 and 2.1s all day on my Nitto street tires but not anymore. Myself and xlcrew should be headed to the track pretty soon, we will both be on DR's and we should have videos. I'll prolly run a few passes with the 75shot and if all goes well I'll bump it up to the 100shot. I'll keep yall posted.

yeah i know he cheats he uses an auto. not fair, that 5 speed auto in that car is a lot better than whats in the maxima's. i hate the fact that i worked on his car and made it faster than mine. hopefully i can change that soon. congrats sean, let me know when you're ready for the second stage of spray. by the way dandy i wanted to say congrats on your dyno numbers out of a 3L.

Hey its all fair game auto or manual lol, I'm just glad I dont have a lightned flywheel with a difficult *** clutch so therefore I like my auto very much You are my mechanic lol but I get some of that credit too if my car is supposedly fast? Anyways my car isnt that fast just your normal dd.. I'll def let you know when I'm ready for that 2nd stage of spray and I'll also get that window switch with the data logging wideband. It will be a while though.

Auto or not, he still has to hit the light... so there's definitely skill involved.

i was just messing with ya sean. you know how to drive that auto, give me a set of drag radials or slicks and just let me dump the clutch and hook instead of spinning half way down the track. by way sean i think before you do the second stage you should get a tranny cooler atleast. congrats on the win though

Yea I know man its no sweat at all.. Hell I see you so much now its like your my brother from another mother lol... I try my best to drive the car, sometimes that thing drives me!! I will def get the tranny cooler along with a few other things so thats why I said it will prolly be a while before I even do it I'm trying to get this new job so that way I can go get a nice dd to drive everyday and let the Alty sit at home and be pretty and also if it breaks I will have something else to drive.. Hopefully my pops gives me the 5.0 Thanks for the props man I appreciate everything you've helped me out with. And yes if you had DR's or slicks you could dump that clutch stick and get and you would be untouchable!

When I first got the car it ran 14.90's pretty consistent but depending on the weather and the track prep predicted what I would run. Not to make any excuses but I could put Thunder Valley which is the track I go to, I could put it up for the nations worst track. Seriously its horrible they dont prep it at all and Tulsa Raceway is to far to drive but oh well gotta deal with it. Now the car runs low 14s on street tires and its an auto, just got a new set of Nitto DR's and have yet to test them out.

Thanks, DR's are gonna be a def next time I hit the track and depending on the weather I'll see if I wanna go higher than a 75shot. A bunch of guys from Oklahoma are meeting up with the DNE guys next month in Dallas along with a few from San Antonio and I beleive were going to the track in Ennis on Friday June 27th along with a normal meet on Saturday Night. But its supposed to be a NICE track down there so if that show is still on then that will be the next time I run the car. The DR's will def be on and ready to go. Hopefully I can pull a 13.80 or so on motor and I'm hoping for 12.70's on the 75shot.

Me, Kencapel, and Carlos(forgot his screen name), went to Ennis last night. It was my first time there and the track is real good. Grip was great. I was a little suprised at my low times(14.7) but then again I'm on 29lb 20inch wheels. Pretty decent 60' time of 2.283. My 1st and 2nd gears are real strong but my 3rd needs a swift kick in the a$$.

There's a couple things I didn't do that I want to next time. I'm seriously thinkin about 75-100 shot.
