Dayshots: 2007 G35 Sedan (28 pics; 2.26MB)
My friend from Dallas came up to visit. I had some time after work to take some pictures. The lighting sucked, but oh well. Here they are. Enjoy! Comments are certainly welcomed.

Thanks so much, dudes. I appreciate the comments. That was just a spur-of-the-moment shoot. Car was dirty/dusty! I also wished the lighting was better. The pictures would have been better.
I was using my Canon 30D and 28-80mm f4.0-5.6 and a few with a Canon 50mm f1.8. Natural lighting. The funny thing is: my ultra wide-angle came in a few afters the shoot. It's Sigma 10-20mm. It would have been awesome to shoot with that on this car!

I choose what is in focus and what is out of focus with my eyes, through the viewfinder, via the camera. Manual focusing is best for these types of shots. I set the aperture (iris of lens) very low (big opening), so there is a short depth of field. That is how the objects from the intended subject are all out of focus. It isolates the subject in the shot so there is little/no distractions from other objects in the frame.
EDIT: Now I really wish I had the Sigma UWA when I was shooting his car. The shoot would have been much better. Here is one of my car with the lens:
