New PB in the 5.5 gen!
New PB in the 5.5 gen!
Well... finally decided to get drag radials [225/50/16 hoosiers] mounted on 16" SSR, I also fixed my motor mounts.
Mods:
intake, hotshot headers, warpspeed b-pipe w/ greddy muffler, gutted cat, SSIM, UDP, technosquare ECU, Fidanza Flywheel, super aFCII Untunned.
Wish i could have done better, but still not bad. Launching on drags is totally different from street tires. I did however lose some MPH, not quite sure why yet. But overall, not bad!

wow looks like I need the TS ECU reflash. I've even got a few more NA mods than you (other than the ECU) and you've got half a second on me. Good times!
I hoping to get better times in the up coming weeks. I had a pretty bad exhuast leak b4 the rear o2 sensors that i fixed yesterday. If all works well i should break 12's this season.
Yeah, he still holds the record from maybe over 3 years ago. I'm still a MPH shy of his 108mph. Maybe ill try some weight reduction?!

There's not too much weight reduction to be had except for the passenger seat and the spare/etc. I think with all that stuff and the back seat out I only lost around 100 lbs.
Aaron's IM spacers should complimet your SSIM pretty well and drop your time a tad. I'm guessing those DRs were a vast improvement over your previous tire. Job well done man. An insipiration to us N/A dudes.
I think the reason you lost mph has to do with your tire pressure. If it is too low then you get a nice launch with the possible downside of less top end. I think the intuition here is that the lower pressure reduces the diameter of the tire so you are essentially covering less ground, or at least a non-slick tire. Don't quote me though.

also, as you do down in wheel size your speed will decrease; it's a change in ratio from the wheel size to the gears. Same goes with tire pressure, the lower your pressure the harder the car has to work but at the same time you have better grip. I say increase the tire pressure a little and see what happens.
