OOIV swap help needed

hey guys, i am trying to complete an ooiv swap but i cannot get the im off of the doner. i removed all of the front bolts but cannot find any bolts in the rear (closest to the firewall) when i pull at the front section of the im, it slightly moves which is making me to believe that there is still some bolts attached. if somebody could help me with this situation i would greatly appreciate it.

There back there, trust me, but don't expect to see them. Just keep reaching around and feeling for them. A 12mm gear wrench will be your best freind.

What is an Ooiv? Is that pronounced ewiv as in 'few'? Or Uhiv, as is in 'foot'? Or maybe O-oyv as in void? Hmmm.....

i should probably know this by now, but what is the point of a 00VI? i know the 2000 was better in alot of ways, but what is so different about the intake? is it better than a pop or a cone? what else is a bolt-on swap that makes a significant difference?

Besides the fact that it's a variable runner design? This is an intake manifold, not intake piping.

I call you noob and raise you http://forums.maxima.org/search.php

I'm being lenient solely for having spent several years in TN. BTW, Oak Ridge > Murfreesboro

not really.
cams, lower im,upper im+tb,injectors and coolant log are the only things that are diffrent. and just the manifolds really give you the power. if im missing something someone please correct me.

Just to update the thread we went down to help remove the VI from the car on sunday and it was smashed pretty bad so we couldnt get to the screws in the back. We asked the guy driving the big forklift type truck to help move the engine over a bit so we could get to them so he told us to remove the bolts on the motor mounts and he could do it. So once we got them out he came back and proceeded to smash the intake manifold to pieces and all we could do is stand there and watch like wtf. So after he finally heard us yelling stop we tell him we needed the intake manifold and he says oh I thought you said the exhaust manifold. the only good parts left were the tb, IACV and rear valve cover. It sucked.

Haha oh man, that's terrible. I'm surprised it cracked so easily, it's pretty darn thick composite stuff.
