cattman y-pipe out of stock, stillen on sale!

So I just bought a stillen racepipe and thought to let you guys know. All you 00-01 crowd: Cattman has been out of stock on their y-pipe for a couple of months now, and I really wanted to wait for their product, especially since Stillen's was nearly a hundred bucks more expensive. Now Stillen's y-pipe was on sale for 369 bucks tho and I just had to jump on this ^^. Especially since they offer free shipping. Just thought you'd guys would like to know

Does the one that fits the 01-02 3.0L Maxima work on 01 i30s also? I assume putting this on a car will prevent it from passing emissions?

As oftenly described, it should not prevent it from passing emissions. It just get rids of two additional cats, but leaves the main one still in place, especially if the engine is warmed up.
And there is none for the 01-02 maxima. There is one for the 00-01 maxima which will fit, and then 02 and up, which is for the 3.5l.

On another note.... I had a CEL saying my cat is busted. I went to Autozone, deleted the error code and for some reason that deletes all values of all the sensors. I went and drove 50 miles around, passed emissions although catalytic converter sensor was not ready and it said the following:

Cat. Sensor not ready - Congratulations, you passed emissions

weird?!

So what exactly does a ypipe do for me? More horsepower? better gas milage? better sound? How much would it cost to have someone install one?
